My piece for the Micro Macro project is a style that was fairly new to me. Using 4 different drawing styles in one work is one thing, but a bigger challenge is making it look good together.
The reason I chose the image of the woman I drew is because I really loved the life that was visible on her face. I also liked how she was wearing a hijab, which I had never drawn before.
One of the elements I think worked well was the stippling effect. It is my favourite part of my drawing because it looks so elegant and cool at the same time. Another element I liked was her eyes, they turned out much better than I had anticipated.
In conclusion, I think that using so many styles in a short period of time has not only been an interesting challenge but has helped me find out what styles im strong in.
